How do I fix my time log when I forgot to start or stop the timer?
Fix it as soon as you notice: add the time you missed to the right task, or take the extra
time off the task whose timer kept running. Correcting it the same day is much easier than
reconstructing the day later.

Doing it by hand
Forgot to start: work out roughly when you began and add those minutes
to the task.
Forgot to stop: work out when you actually stopped and remove the extra
time.
Switched late: move the minutes since the real switch from the old task
to the new one.
If it matters for billing or a timesheet, note what you changed and why.
Where TimeMender helps
Forgot to start: tap +Xm on the item to add your quick-add increment,
as many times as you need. The increment is set in Settings.
Switched late: right after you switch, the new item shows a Move action
for a short window, so you can move recent time over from the previous item one
increment at a time.
Forgot to stop, or logged the wrong item: tap Adjust on Today. Tap a
row to choose where time comes from, then tap +Xm on another row to move it there, or
tap −Xm to remove an increment — including from a timer that is still
running. Clear Day removes all of today’s time for one item.
Catch it sooner: a reminder when a timer has been running longer than
you set, periodic check-ins while a timer runs during your workday, and an end-of-day
reminder.
All of these corrections are in the free version.
Its limits
Corrections move or remove time in your quick-add increment. You cannot type exact start
and stop times or edit individual entries.
Adjust corrects today’s time, so fix mistakes the same day.
